D.Fish To OKC?

According to sources, The Oklahoma City Thunder and Derek Fisher may have some mutual interest in each other. Fisher was recently traded from LA to Houston then immediately had his contract bought out. Now it has been said that D. Fish is either looking to sign with the Thunder, Heat, or the Bulls to keep his championship hopes alive. Even thought the Thunder don’t need a point guard they may want to add some depth the backcourt as Eric Maynor is out for the season due to injury.

I personally don’t see exactly where Derek Fisher would fit in the rotation in the Thunders lineup, but maybe he’ll bring some good wisdom, advice, and be a good role model for all these young guys on the team.

What to do about Thabo?

You may not notice but Thabo Sefolosha starts in every game for the Thunder. He is averaging over 20 minutes per game. He may not make much of an impact when it comes to points, rebounds, and assist but he brings energy and is probably Oklahoma City’s best perimeter defender. With James Harden coming off the bench, who do you think is guarding guys like Kobe Bryant and D-wade, not Durant or Westbrook.

Thabo injured the tendon in his right foot about 20 games or so ago hasn’t played since. This has left the Thunder have a big hole to fill in an already inconsistent defense. According to sources, if Thabo’s injury does persist and keep him out longer, the Thunder may attempt to trade for another defensive lockdown player to replace him before the March 15th deadline.

It’ll be interesting see if they are able to do that as whoever they may trade for would have to be inexpensive and have a expiring contract to save cap-room to re-sign James Harden and Serge Ibaka at the end of the season.
